Characters from the popular BBC Scotland TV comedy Still Game have been popping up on walls in Dundee and have been proving very popular with both fans of the show and the actors themselves.

Local street artist Syke is the man behind the murals located on and around the abandoned site of the city’s former bus garage, behind Seagate bus station and adjacent to Mary Ann Lane, a legal street art zone in the city centre.

To date, Syke has painted Jack and Victor, Winston winning at the bookies, Tam and Boaby the barman, and notorious Craiglang gossip Isa Drennan. An earlier mural of shopkeeper Navid has since been painted over, ironic as actor Sanjeev Kohli, who played the character, posted a tweet saying how chuffed he was by the mural.

More recent additions include Winston’s arch enemy, Stevie the Bookie, and Shug, played by actor Paul Young.
